Discover the new 2-week Erasmus+ course format in Tenerife: two consecutive courses or one 10-day intensive experience for teachers and staff.
A new 2-week course format in Tenerife
Based on the feedback we have received, we have introduced new 2-week and 10-day course options in Tenerife. This gives participants more time to learn, connect and enjoy a more complete Erasmus+ mobility experience.
With the new Erasmus+ rules, one person can attend only one training course per project. For that reason, a 2-week course can be a good choice if you want to travel once but stay longer and make the most of your mobility in Tenerife.
Two ways to join
There are two ways to follow this format.
1. Join two consecutive courses
You can combine two different topics and stay for two full weeks. For example, one week can focus on outdoor education and the second one on AI, or you can combine social inclusion with non-verbal methods.
This option gives participants the chance to:
- meet people from different institutions and countries.
- experience different teaching approaches and activities.
- learn from more than one trainer and teaching style.
- build a wider network during their stay in Tenerife.
We also sometimes offer a second two-week option with different consecutive dates, depending on demand and course planning.
2. Join a 10-day intensive course
Another option is to join one 10-day course focused on one topic. This works well for groups that want to go deeper into a subject and explore it from different angles.
This format is especially useful for courses on AI, digital tools or outdoor education, where participants benefit from time to test ideas, reflect and discuss them in depth. It is also a good fit for social inclusion and soft skills courses, where longer time can support a more meaningful personal and professional development process.
How the structure works
In both cases, the structure is simple: 5 training days, a free weekend and another 5 training days.
This rhythm gives participants time to learn actively, rest, explore Tenerife and come back ready for the second part of the course.
It also makes the experience easier to follow. Participants can focus on training during the week and still have space to process what they learned in between.
More networking, more value
One thing we noticed in early 2026 is that our double courses were fully booked. Splitting a larger group into parallel sessions with different trainers seems to work very well.
This format also creates more networking opportunities with staff from different EU countries. It is a practical way to welcome more participants while still keeping the learning experience personal and interactive.
If your organisation wants to send 3 + 3 staff during the same week in Tenerife, this can be a very good solution.
It allows more people to benefit from the mobility while keeping the group sizes manageable and the sessions focused.
Other mobility options
If you have already attended a training course with the current project, you may still have other mobility options such as job shadowing, preparatory visits, accompanying person in learner mobilities or teaching abroad.
At the moment, the restriction only applies to training courses. That means you can still plan other useful mobilities depending on your project goals and Erasmus+ grant.
Interested in a longer stay?
If you want a more complete learning experience in Tenerife, the 2-week and 10-day options are worth considering. They give you more time for training, networking and reflection, while still keeping the structure clear and manageable.
